o3 magazine uses international paper sizes - A4, A5 and A6. o3 magazine is designed as a digital publication, our requirements may be a little strange to designers who work primarily with print media.

Files should be submitted in JPEG format, with no compression (maximum quality) and at 300 dpi. The JPEG will appear in the publication as submitted, there is no bleed or other requirements as we do not use any print process. Please use the exact dimensions for your image files. Files should be uploaded using our Login system and notification send via email to sales@o3magazine.com.

what resolutions?
If your graphics software doesn't have presets for international paper sizes. Please use 2480x3508 (A4), 1748x2480 (A5) and 1240x1748 (A6).

why international paper sizes?
Very few countries outside of the United States use the US Letter format. While most modern printers support US Letter, readers in certain countries can not easily purchase Letter paper. We have successfully found several companies that sell international paper sizes such as A4, in the United States for roughly the same cost as US Letter. o3 magazine successfully tested printing o3 magazine on A4 paper using Hewlett Packard Color LaserJet printers purchased in the United States.

what is the difference between A5 and vertical?
A5 is half a page, either the top or bottom half. Half-page vertical, is the A4 page split vertically down the center (left and right, instead of top and bottom). This is sometimes referred to as a column or island.
